It’s Breakfast Smoothie Time!

Hello everyone!

After my previous post ( which you can read here) a couple of you had asked me for the recipe of the green smoothie I had talked about in it. So I got down to working on putting this post together and decided that I would give you recipes of not just the one but two of my most favorite breakfast smoothies.

The first one of course is the green smoothie that was requested for and the other is what I like to call the purple smoothie! Yes, I know, I’m not original at all when it comes to naming stuff. But names aside, I can vouch for the fact that both these drinks are just as nutritious as they are delicious. They make for the perfect breakfast if you’re in a hurry and quite filling too.

So without further ado, here are the recipes! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do πŸ™‚

PURPLE SMOOTHIE

Ingredients

1 medium sized banana (105 cal)

A handful of mixed berries – fresh or frozen (15 cal)

1/2 pack of vanilla yogurt (130 cal)

1 cup of soy/ almond milkΒ  ORΒ  1 cup of water (100 cal)

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients into a blender and blitz until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Serve after refrigerating to the desired temperature.

TIPS:

  1. Adding nuts like almonds or walnuts to this recipe makes it taste pretty darn good too! Soaked chia seeds make a great addition as well πŸ™‚
  2. Try and use fresh berries for better taste. I ran out of fresh ones and had to use some from my frozen bunch.

Don’t forget to let me know how you liked the recipes if you try them out πŸ™‚
